Arsenal’s start to the Premier League season couldn’t have gone much better. The Gunners have dropped just two points and headed into the international break with a dramatic late win over Manchester United. Still though there is a feeling that more is to come.
While Mikel Arteta’s side started last season like a house on fire, this time around there have only been brief embers. Arteta may well view this as a positive in the sense that his team have many more gears to go to, but he’ll be hoping that improvements are on the horizon soon.
There couldn’t be too many better opponents to test that out against than Everton. The Toffees have made an awful start to the campaign and Arsenal will be heavy favourites. Still though, they cannot go into the match feeling too confident having failed to win at Goodison Park in six years. As a result, it’s vital that Arteta gets his team selection spot on. Here shakeztech takes a look at who he might pick.

Goalkeeper – Aaron Ramsdale
David Raya’s debut may be on the horizon for Wednesday’s Champions League opener against PSV on Wednesday. For now though, Aaron Ramsdale will keep his starting spot in the league. -
Right back – Ben White
With injuries to Thomas Partey and Jurrien Timber we can expect Ben White to surely come back in at right back. The 25-year-old is in talks with Arsenal over a new contract and will have a huge part to play over the next few weeks. -
Centre back – William Saliba
The 22-year-old played the full 90 minutes of France’s defeat to Germany over the international break. With Arsenal’s lack of numbers at the back he has a crucial role to play over the next few weeks. -
Centre back – Gabriel
The Brazilian had the honour of of making his national team debut over the international break, and despite some injury scares he seems to have come through it relatively unscathed. With Partey out injured, he’ll start at centre half. -
Left back – Oleksandr Zinchenko
Zinchenko grabbed a rare goal over the international break while starting in midfield for Ukraine. Expect him to be back at left back when Arsenal travel up to Goodison though.
